Judah & Kelly Tana

Founder & International director / Head of fundraising

Judah and Kelly use their personal experience in small business and youth development training programs to spearhead GAP’s business and entrepreneurship division. Judah has been providing education programs through HSTK/GAP in Thailand since 2006. Joined by Kelly in 2011, they aim to influence positive change in local communities and see young men and women reach their potential and thrive while doing so. Kelly is passionate about providing the best possible support network and training for young mothers in the areas of health and child protection.

Aeaje & Ellie Wanaromyen

Senior Pastor / GAP Thailand Leader

Aeaje’s experience and devotion to child protection and development, along with his wife Ellie’s experience in a Thai children’s home, makes them incredibly valuable members of the GAP team. Aeaje uses his extensive knowledge of languages and cross-cultural sensitivities to provide an important foundation for working in local communities in Thailand and Myanmar. Ellie provides support for GAP Thailand’s youth, staff and volunteers.

Min Min Soe & Kallaya

Head of Building & Maintenance / GAP Thailand Board Chairman

Min Min Soe’s expertise in building design and construction is a great asset to our work here at GAP. He leads our maintenance crew and sees to new building developments. Kallaya has a background in nursing and administration. She is the direct oversight of our children on campus, liaison between government offices and school administration.

Mary Russell

Chairman

Mary, along with her husband of 38 years, Keith, have been involved in an aviation and air freight business for the past 30 years. They are also pastors and have a passion for missions, having served for the past 20 years in Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and the Philippines. Mary has served on several boards and specialises in administration, finance, human resource management and development of policy and procedures.

Judah Tana

Vice Chairman

Judah has been doing cross-cultural educational missions since 1999. He co-founded Help Save the Kids in 2007 and registered Global Advance Projects in 2019. He has since spent most of his time advocating for marginalised people and social justice, emphasising education for all. Judah lives and works full-time in Thailand with his family as he continues establishing GAP’s operations base in southeast Asia.

Nicole Bathurst

Secretary

Nicole is a Dietitian who lives in the far north of Western Australia. Having home educated her four children, she was able to use those skills teaching English at HSTK/GAP in 2015 and 2016.
With her Dietetic background, years of research and personal journey, Nicole currently specialises in helping women to implement science-backed diet and lifestyle practices that will support their health and give them the peace of mind that they are doing everything they can to reduce their risk of cancer returning.

Julie Houghton

Child Protection

Julie has been working in education for over 30 years. She is trained in secondary biological sciences and has also worked and specialised in distance education including School of the Air, information and communication technologies, curriculum development and gifted education. She also teaches English as a Second Language or Dialect to refugees who have recently arrived in Australia (many of whom are students from Myanmar), as well as students in Australia for study and career purposes. Julie taught English at HSTK/GAP in 2015 and has been connected with the organization ever since.
